3.2 Advertising and Analytics Partners

We may disclose or make available certain information to advertising and analytics partners, such as browsing activity, purchase events, page views, ad interactions, cookie identifiers, device identifiers, hashed contact information, and similar data.

This helps us measure ad performance, understand attribution, improve campaigns, create audiences, and show relevant ads.

We do not sell Personal Information for money. However, some privacy laws may consider our use of advertising cookies, pixels, conversion tracking, retargeting, or audience tools to be a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising.” Where those laws apply, you may have the right to opt out.

Notwithstanding anything else in this Privacy Policy, mobile phone numbers collected for text messaging purposes and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never sold, rented, disclosed, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, as described in Section 6.2.

You may withdraw consent for future marketing uses of your testimonial or likeness at any time by contacting [email protected]; withdrawal will not affect uses that occurred before withdrawal or materials already in circulation, which we will phase out as reasonably practicable.

If you do not want certain information, images, videos, names, dog details, household details, or personal circumstances used publicly or in marketing, do not submit them publicly and do not provide them to us as a testimonial or promotional submission.

3.7 With Your Consent or Direction

We may disclose information when you consent to or direct the disclosure.

4. Sensitive Information

We do not intentionally request or require sensitive Personal Information unless it is necessary for a specific interaction or you voluntarily provide it.

However, because our Service involves dog behavior, safety, training, home environments, and coaching, you may voluntarily provide information that could be sensitive, such as information about:

dog bite history;

injuries;

dog aggression;

children in the home;

household members;

health or mobility limitations;

anxiety, stress, fear, or emotional distress;

personal routines;

housing issues;

legal concerns;

family conflict;

neighborhood disputes; or

safety incidents.

Please only provide information that is necessary and that you are comfortable sharing. If you provide information about another person, including a spouse, partner, child, guest, neighbor, family member, trainer, veterinarian, or another dog owner, you represent that you have the right or permission to provide that information.

We do not use sensitive Personal Information to infer characteristics about you for targeted advertising.

4.1 Consumer Health Data (Washington, Nevada, and Similar Laws)

Our Service is focused on dog training and dog behavior. We do not seek to collect information about your physical or mental health, and we ask that you not provide it unless it is genuinely necessary for your training support (for example, a mobility limitation that affects how you walk your dog).

If you voluntarily provide information that may be considered “consumer health data” under laws such as the Washington My Health My Data Act or Nevada SB 370, we will: use it only to provide the services and support you request; not sell it; not disclose it to third parties for marketing purposes; not use it for targeted advertising; and delete it upon a verified request, subject to legal retention requirements.

Residents of Washington, Nevada, and jurisdictions with similar consumer health data laws may exercise applicable rights, including the right to access consumer health data, withdraw consent, and request deletion, by contacting [email protected].

5. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to purchase, register for, or use the Service, unless a parent or legal guardian is directly involved and agrees to our Terms & Conditions.

If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from a child under 13 without appropriate parental consent, we will delete it as soon as reasonably possible.

Because users may submit videos, photos, questions, or household information that include children, you agree not to submit images, videos, names, private details, or other information about children unless you are the parent or legal guardian or have all required permission.

If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us at [email protected].

6. Your Choices

6.1 Marketing Emails

You may opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us at [email protected].

You may still receive non-marketing messages, such as purchase confirmations, receipts, account notices, billing notices, subscription notices, legal notices, policy updates, support replies, and other administrative communications.

6.2 SMS/Text Messages

If you receive marketing SMS/text messages from us, you may opt out by replying STOP or following the instructions in the message, where applicable.

Message and data rates may apply. Opting out of SMS marketing may not stop transactional, account, or support-related messages where permitted by law.

SMS Privacy: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with any third parties, excluding vendors and service providers acting on our behalf (such as SMS delivery platforms and customer support tools) solely as necessary to deliver the messages you have requested. All categories of information sharing described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy exclude mobile phone numbers collected for text messaging purposes and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent.

6.3 Cookies and Advertising Choices

You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. You may also be able to control advertising preferences through third-party platforms, such as Google, Meta/Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or other advertising networks.

Where required by applicable law, you may have the right to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing of Personal Information. You may exercise this right through the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer of our Site, through our cookie preferences tool, by enabling the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, or by emailing [email protected].

If you cannot find an opt-out tool or have questions, contact us at [email protected].

6.4 Global Privacy Control and Browser Signals

Some browsers and extensions allow you to send opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (“GPC”). Where required by applicable law, we will honor recognized opt-out preference signals as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of Personal Information and targeted advertising for that browser or device.

Because these signals are browser- and device-specific, you may need to enable them separately on each browser and device you use.

6.5 Account and Community Settings

If the Service includes account, profile, notification, or community settings, you may be able to update certain information or communication preferences through those settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your Personal Information. These rights may vary by jurisdiction and may be subject to exceptions.

Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, purpose of processing, legal requirements, and operational needs.

User Content, testimonials, call recordings, support records, purchase records, and community content may be retained for longer periods where necessary to operate the Service, maintain records, preserve educational materials, protect legal rights, or comply with our Terms & Conditions.

We may retain de-identified, aggregated, or anonymized information for any lawful purpose.

9. How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect Personal Information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

These measures may include access controls, passwords, encryption where appropriate, secure third-party processors, limited staff access, vendor controls, backups, monitoring, and other security practices.

However, no website, platform, database, payment system, email system, or internet transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account login information confidential and for notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

10. Third-Party Websites, Platforms, and Services

The Service may link to, integrate with, or rely on third-party websites, platforms, tools, payment processors, checkout pages, community platforms, course platforms, video hosts, social media platforms, analytics providers, advertising platforms, email/SMS tools, scheduling tools, or other services.

11. International Data Transfers

Trail & Bone is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be collected, processed, stored, or transferred in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate.
